The Caara Christmas party wil be held on Saturday December 8 th,doors open at 5 PM for set up and party starting at 6 PM,at St Johns Episcopal Church Hall on 48 Middle Street In Gloucester.The same place as the past couple of years.We will have the same theme with a pot luck dinner,a yankee swap and a door prize raffle at the end.

The next Caara Scholarship benefit breakfast will be held on Sunday October 28th at the clubhouse from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM.So please stop be and financially help those deserving Cape Ann High School seniors who are pursuing higher edcuation.

The Octobrs members meeting will be hled on Wednesday October 3rd at 7:30 PM at the CAARA clubhouse on 6 Stanwood Street In Gloucester.For this meeting we will have Mr Mark Pride K1RX give a presentation on Proham repeater controllers.We will then hear from Mr Bob Stone as he discusses the upcoming 2014 WRTC radiosport championships which will be hosted here in New England!

CAARA Club President Stan Stone W4HIX will be holding a one day study course for those interested in earning the FCC Technician class amateur radio license.This course will be held at the Lanesville community Center on 8 Vulcan Street In Gloucester Mass.Starting at 8:30 AM and going until 4:30 PM.There is a $20.00 fee for course materials,snacks and the FCC Test Fee.You must sign up beforehand by e-mailing Stan at techinaday@caara.net .

The next CAARA Scholarship Benefit Breakfast will be on Sunday September 23rd from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the clubhouse on 6 Stanwood Street in Gloucester.A minimum $5.00 donation gets you a hot breakfast and all proceeds goes towards the Scholarship fund.

There will be a Board of Directors meeting on Wednesday September 5th at 7:30 PM at the Caara clubhouse on 6 Stanwood Street in Gloucester.The monthly FCC Amateur Radio License/ARRL VE test Session will be Sunday September 9th from 10 AM to noon at the clubhouseAll are welcome to attend. The clubs ANNUAL meeting will be Wednesday September 12th at 7:30 PM at the clubhouse. All members are encouraged to attend.There is no regular members meeting during September as the Annual meeting will be taking place.On every sunday there will be the Caara open house and coffee from 9 AM to noon and then CAARANET at 9 PM sharp on 145.130 MHZ with no PL tone

The club will hold its Board of Directors meeting on Wednesday August 8th at 7:30 PM at the clubhouse on 6 Stanwood Street in Gloucester.The August ARRL VE Test/FCC amateur radio license examinations will be held on Sunday August 12th from 10:00 AM to noon at the clubhouse. The club will hold a CAARA Scholarship Fund benefit cookout at noontime on Sunday August 19th at the clubhouse.

There will be no regular members meetings in July and August.There will also be no Emergency Communications Group meetings in July and August as well.However,there will be a Board of Directors meeting on Wednesday July 11th at 7:30 PM at the clubhouse on 6 Stanwod Street in Gloucester. The monthly FCC Amateur radio Licesne/ARRL VE Test session will be held on Sunday July 8th from 10:00 AM to Noon. There will be the regular sunday morning coffee/open house sessions from 9:00 AM to noon and the weekly CAARANET will start every sunday night at 9:00 PM on the club repeater frequency of 145.130 MHZ with no Pl tone. This is a reminder that the next CAARA Scholarship benefit breakfast will be held on Sunday May 27th from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the clubhouse on 6 Stanwood Street in Gloucester. The next ARRL Field Day planning meeting will be held directly after that at 10:00 AM the same morning.All members are encouraged to attend both events.
