This yearly “Field Day” event is sponsored by the Amateur Radio Relay League and it is always held on the last full weekend in June. During this emergency communications exercise over 35,000 amateur radio operators particpate all across North America setting up camp outdoors using only generators and batteries as if the power grid was down. We use the old style morse code all the way to new digital modes and satellites to talk all around the world. We are the true first wireless network and this isn`t your grandfathers radio anymore!
Even if you don`t have a license, you we can give you the opporunity to talk on one of our stations to others across America! Please stop by and see what Amateur Radio is all about!
